WB Health & Family Welfare Dept Recruitment 2014: Requiring applications from candidates to apply Online for 2315 Medical Officer vacancies, The West Bengal Health Department has published a notification for recruitment of the Medical Officers (both General Duty & Specialist) in cadre of West Bengal Health Service and Block Medical Officer of Health (Basic public health cum administrative officer) in West Bengal Public Health cum Administrative Services under Health & Family Welfare Department. 3. Medical Officer (Specialists):

i. General Medicine: 114 Vacancies

ii. General Surgery: 112 Vacancies

iii. Gynae & Obs: 150 Vacancies

iv. Anesthesia: 96 Vacancies

v. Ophthalmology: 20 Vacancies

vi. Otorhinoloaryngology: 20 Vacancies

vii. Dermatology: 15 Vacancies

viii. Microbiology/ Pathology: 15 Vacancies

ix. Pediatric Medicine: 90 Vacancies

x. Orthopedic Surgery: 30 Vacancies

xi. Radio diagnosis: 22 Vacancies

Age Conditions: All interested and eligible candidate age should not exceeded than 32 years for ordinary graduates and not more than 40 years for those possessing post graduate qualification. Age limit should be reckoned as on Apr 01st 2014. Age relaxation will be provided as per the rules and regulations

Educational Track: All interested and eligible Candidates should have to pass Medical qualifications with in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act in the year 1956 and Registration Practitioner in State of West Bengal.

Cost of Application Fee: All interested and eligible candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs.210/- to paid by net banking or through Bank Counter in offline mode at any branch of Banks participating in the GRIPS (Government Receipt Portal System). Government Receipt Head of Account is ’0051-00-104-002-16'. Government of West Bengal through duplicate challan will give after filling up the online application form. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category of West Bengal and persons with disabilities specified under disabilities are exempted from payment of fees.

Selection method: All interested and eligible candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in examination/ interview.
