All Citizens can update the Aadhaar data online or through Post. All Indian People can edit their Name, gender, DOB, address and mobile number through Self Service Update Portal. Indian Government Provide Mobile number details and it Is it mandatory when submitting Update Request through online portal. It may be used for Verification or check by calling the Applicant. with use or providing mobile number the Status of application will be intimated to the resident by sending SMS on this mobile number. The applicant should intimate the mobile number otherwise Applications without mobile number for update through post or online will be rejected.

Depending on the required field to be updated, need to attach self attested supporting documents as per the all Valid Documents List in Aadhaar website.Name Correction or Update – this modification Requires PoI listed in any“Supported Proof of Identity (PoI ) Documents Containing Name and Photo proof for Name Corrections or Update”. Address Corrections/Change – This correction requires POA listed in any“Supported Proof of Address (PoA) Documents Containing Name and Address”.1. Passport, 2. Bank Passbook, 3. Post Office Account statement/Passbook 4. Ration Card, 5. Voter ID, 6. Driving License, 7. Government Photo ID cards/service photo identity card issued by PSU, etc.
